Last night, Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood became the stage for one of the most entertaining spectacles in modern pickleball: Ares Pickleball Slam 4, a made-for-television exhibition that brought together tennis legends and the biggest star in professional pickleball.
The event featured a $1 million prize purse and a format designed for broadcast audiences, blending competition with showmanship in front of a packed crowd inside Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla.
Four major racket-sport names took the court.
On one side were tennis legends Andre Agassi and James Blake.
Across the net stood pickleball world No.1 Anna Leigh Waters, paired with former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard.

The evening followed a simple but engaging structure: two singles matches followed by a decisive doubles showdown that would ultimately determine the winning team.
One of the most intriguing moments came when Anna Leigh Waters faced James Blake in singles, a symbolic matchup between pickleball’s new generation and one of tennis’ former top players.
Waters managed to take the singles victory, once again demonstrating why she remains the most dominant player in professional pickleball.
But the momentum shifted when the night reached its final chapter.
In the decisive doubles match, Agassi and Blake leaned on their experience and competitive instincts to secure the win, ultimately defeating Waters and Bouchard and claiming the Ares Pickleball Slam 4 title with a 3–1 overall result.
The atmosphere inside Hard Rock Live matched the scale of the event. Lights, music and a “battle of the sexes” storyline helped turn the competition into a full entertainment production designed for television audiences.
Beyond the final score, the night highlighted something bigger.
Pickleball continues to expand by bringing together tennis icons, global personalities and the sport’s own rising stars, creating events that increasingly resemble major international sports productions.
And inside Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, the message was clear: pickleball now has the stage — and the stars — to stand alongside the biggest names in racket sports.
